For those who do not know it, Salomons Estate is on the edge of Tunbridge Wells on the way to Speldhurst. There is a beautiful set of buildings and a lovely garden and all is free for a walk around during the day of a quick cheeky drone flight as the sun goes down over town:
I’ve been promising a few more drone shots and where better than our local vast expanse of water on a rare sunny day:
And then back down to earth as the weather got more foreboding:
This is not a single shot of the fireworks- I never manage to get those right.
Instead I have merged together about 10 different pictures to give the general idea- it ended up being way too colourful so I turned it down!
My drive to work spot looking over Gibraltar Cottage and a misty town never seems to disappoint at this time of year even if I sometimes get too excited to quite get my focus right as in the first couple here from yesterday morning:
Sometimes a funny old lens and a bit of photoshop make my pictures end up looking like a bit of a fantasy hobbit town, but beneath it all, I can just about recognise the common:
Looking for a new direction in some of my familiar locations and the only way is up. These are three drone shots from sunset in Dunorlan.
I’m still getting used to the camera which is much lower quality than I use for my normal pictures, but I’ll get there!
Out in my usual spots in Dunorlan last weekend and realised when I got there that my favourite old Zeiss lens had a stuck aperture- basically means that you can only focus on one thing at a time.
So some distant shots with no foreground…
and some close ups with blurred backgrounds…
